Dr Jonathan Carroll

Irregularly Scheduled Programming; getting it done now.

Bio: I’ve been programming since around 2002, with beginnings in Matlab, Mathematica, and Fortran in undergrad, then eventually focusing on Fortran in my PhD and branching out to R/C/C++/Javascript/Python after that. Most of my current work involves a combination of R and bash shell processing; I’m yet to find something that R can’t at least have a fair crack at.

Although my PhD is in theoretical particle/nuclear physics, I am currently working as a research scientist in fisheries modelling; lots of statistics, R programming, a little C++, and too much Excel/Access. I’m always interested in learning more.
